Dr Rhys Morgan
Dr Rhys Morgan graduated with Honours from the University of Queensland in 1981, did his residency and his anaesthetic training in Brisbane after which he travelled to the UK where he completed advanced training in both General and Cardiac anaesthesia. On returning to Brisbane he became a staff anaesthetist at the Princess Alexandra Hospital. In 1990, Dr Morgan entered private practice by joining the newly formed Wesley Anaesthetic and Pain Management group where he continues to actively practice. He is now the longest serving anaesthetist in this practice. His primary area of practice now centres around the provision of anaesthesia for Gastro-intestinal endoscopies in which he has extensive experience.
In 2001 Dr Morgan completed a theology degree with the Australian College of Theology. He has a long history of short-term involvement in oversees mission work, first in Thailand, then in China, where he has provided limited training and the provision of paediatric anaesthetic services for orphaned children.
Dr Morgan is an active cyclist, enjoys 4X4 driving and travel.
